Community Education and Activities Student Intern

Part‑time Position

Rate of pay: $15.00 per hour

This part‑time paid position provides high school students with hands‑on experience supporting the Community Education, Athletics and Activities department. Interns will work alongside staff to complete office, program, and event‑related tasks while developing leadership, responsibility, and customer service skills.

As an intern, you will always work alongside adult staff.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform administrative and clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and organizing program materials.
• Assist Community Education instructors with youth classes, including leading activities, supervising students, and preparing/cleaning classroom spaces.
• Work at athletic events: ticket taker, scoreboard operator, shot clock operator, youth referee, or concessions helper.
• Support coaches and staff with setup, takedown, and game/event management.
• Provide excellent customer service to participants, families, and community members.

• Current high school student in good standing.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with guidance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in athletics, youth development, or community programming preferred.
• Must be available for some evenings and weekends.

• Earn income while gaining meaningful work experience.
• Develop leadership, teamwork, and event management skills.
