We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Automation Controls Programmer / HVAC Controls Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming and maintaining automation control systems that enhance energy efficiency and ensure the seamless operation of automated equipment.

Duties:
  • Programming on a high or expert level in Tridium Niagara;
  • Experience with HVAC theory and physical systems;
  • Interpreting and understanding as-built drawings or sequences of operations;
  • Managing programming projects;
  • Working with other programmers on staff;
  • Communicating regularly with install and service teams;
  • Reporting to the Lead Programmer regarding updates and statuses;
  • Documenting and tracking project deadlines and labor hours;
  • Programming, stress testing, and upgrading system software;
  • Communicating with customers to become familiar with operating problems;
  • Keeping project managers and customers informed on the nature of the services provided, any outstanding issues, recommended enhancements, upgrades, and/or repairs;
  • Managing assigned work to meet deadlines and customer expectations;
  • Abiding by company policies and safety guidelines;
  • Providing training to customers on how to use or interact with front-end controls;.
  • Working independently or as part of a team;
  • Working with customer IT staff to troubleshoot or establish network connectivity;
  • Programming and interfacing with Honeywell Webs/Optimizer, Johnson FX, and other Niagara systems;
  • Integrating open and proprietary control systems into Niagara;
  • Aiding in point commissioning and working with third-party personnel;
  • Creating and modifying graphical UI;
  • Familiarity with SSL Certificates, signing, and installation;
  • Troubleshooting of direct digital control (DDC) devices; and
  • Training of same or lower level employees.
Preferred skills, but not required:
  • Associates or BS degree;
  • Honeywell Spyder Classic, 5, and 7 programming;
