Eurasia Group is actively seeking a motivated Analyst to join its Global Environment & Sustainability Practice with a focus on climate policy. This role involves advancing Eurasia Group’s coverage of critical regulations such as the CSRD, CSDDD, EU Green Deal, and others. As an Analyst, you will engage in the assessment of climate policies and their implications on various sectors. You are expected to navigate the fast-paced and evolving environment within a small-company setting, while effectively addressing ambiguity and challenges.
The role is vital for supporting Eurasia Group’s comprehensive climate transition coverage, where cooperation with multiple departments is essential. Expertise in climate-related risks and opportunities across different industries will significantly contribute to the success of the Eurasia Group’s mission.
- Assess country and regional political risks related to climate issues.
- Analyze climate policy and politics, providing insights into political factors influencing policy making.
- Support Eurasia Group’s climate transition coverage and collaborate with various departments.
- Conduct in-depth research and write succinct, forward-looking analyses and reports for clients.
- Adhere to tight deadlines and provide clear, business-oriented writing.
- 3–5 years of experience conducting research on climate policy.
- Deep knowledge of climate-related regulatory efforts.
- Advanced degree in political science, environmental science, or similar fields.
- Experience in policy dashboards and trackers.
- Excellent analytical, presentation, oral, and written skills.
- Experience in drafting country and sectoral reports focused on climate issues.
- Preferably having past experience in consulting, financial institutions, or leading organizations in the field.
- Legal right to work in Kenya or Mexico.
