WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in New Haven, CT.

Job Function:

• Day shift.
• 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 10:45 AM–7:15 PM.
• Document all patient care accurately, completely, and promptly in the facility EMR
• Prepare the operating room for procedures and assist with room turnover
• Assist with patient positioning and ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure
• Handle and label specimens according to policy
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection‑control standards
• Identify and initiate corrective actions when necessary
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to ensure efficient workflow

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience

• Must scrub and circulate cardiac surgery independently

• BLS (AHA)

• ACLS (AHA)

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).

• Current RN license for the state that you are working in.

• 2 full years of acute care experience in this specialty.
