Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in a Level I Trauma Center requiring a CT or compact RN license and trauma center experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a short-term acute care hospital

• Typical patient ratios are 1:5 to 1:6 during day shifts

• This is a night shift role with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00

• Every other weekend is required

• Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required

• Epic EMR is used and experience is preferred

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position

• No on-call responsibilities are required

• Travelers must participate in facility emergency response activities as needed

• No local candidates accepted; must live at least 75 miles from facility

• Facility will automatically approve up to 7 days of requested time off

• Scrub color or dress code requirements will be provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required (pending accepted but must be active prior to start date)

• Minimum of 2 years RN experience in Med/Surg Telemetry

• Experience in a large trauma center required

• Current BLS certification required

• Flu vaccine required without exceptions

• COVID-19 vaccination and booster required unless religious or medical exemption applies

• Candidates with previous permanent employment at this facility must have been gone at least 2 years to be considered
