Position: Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac Electrophysiology
Location: New Haven, Connecticut
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Setting: On-Site – Outpatient & Inpatient Cardiac Electrophysiology
About the RoleWe are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) team in New Haven, CT
. This is a full-time,
on-site position offering the opportunity to work alongside nationally recognized EP physicians in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment focused on comprehensive arrhythmia care and advanced rhythm management.
The APP will support both inpatient and outpatient services, including consults, device management, and ongoing patient care across the EP spectrum.
Key Responsibilities- Perform inpatient consults and follow-up visits for patients with arrhythmias and EP‑related conditions
- Conduct outpatient evaluations, including pre‑ and post‑procedure assessments and long‑term rhythm management
- Interpret ECGs, ambulatory monitors, and cardiac device interrogations (pacemakers, ICDs, loop recorders)
- Round with EP physicians and coordinate care with the broader cardiology team
- Provide education to patients and families regarding EP procedures and long‑term device care
- Participate in outpatient device clinics in collaboration with technical and nursing staff
- Accurately document clinical encounters and care plans in the EMR
- Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, and team‑based care initiatives
- Active/Eligible and unrestricted licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Connecticut
- Board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
- Minimum of 1–2 years of cardiology or electrophysiology experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythm interpretation and device function
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Comfortable practicing independently while adhering to established clinical protocols
