Vacancies will be filled in the following specialty areas:
Facilities Management and Security Services Operations East, Facilities Management and Security Services Operations West, Facilities Management and Security Services Operations Mid-Atlantic.
The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.
QualificationsFederal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-12: To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Experience with a range of concepts, practices, regulations, policies, and precedents associated with support services programs. Experience with project and lease management techniques sufficient to plan, execute, and monitor work assignments and/or special projects. Experience using methods and procedures for providing or performing a variety of facilities management functions and services to plan, organize, and control work involving managing multiple projects and managing other facility programs.
Ability to prepare work plans and schedules for various phases of project accomplishment, and continually monitor the project status and coordinate the impact with all affected employees and managers. Proficient in utilizing AutoCAD or similar technical drawing applications, construction management, and/or interior design to independently create a space design. Experience communicating with senior leadership and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, to consult, cooperate, coordinate, and negotiate tactfully and persuasively with others in resolving issues which can be sensitive and controversial in nature.
Examples of qualifying specialized experience include:
Work that included study, analysis, or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices, and procedures. Budget administration, program analysis, or other work with support services programs to facilitate the work of an organization. Experience that included responsibility for directing a variety of support services and functions (e.g., purchase of supplies/equipment and maintenance, property management, project management, logistics, etc.).
Experience that required monitoring and coordinating the work of subordinate elements through internal procedures, controls, production, progress reporting, etc.
