This role is critical to maintaining the security and compliance of our IT environment by ensuring timely and effective patching of workstations, servers, applications, and systems. The technician will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to coordinate patching activities, minimize disruptions, and meet organizational and regulatory requirements.

• Coordinate and execute patching activities across Windows, Linux, and other operating systems.
• Apply updates to enterprise applications, third‑party software, and system components.
• Work closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to schedule and validate patch deployments.
• Monitor patch compliance and generate reports for internal stakeholders and audits.
• Troubleshoot patch‑related issues and elevate as needed.
• Maintain patch management tools and automation scripts.
• Stay current with vendor patch releases, security advisories, and industry best practices.
• Assist in developing and refining patch management policies and procedures.
• Support vulnerability remediation efforts in collaboration with the information security team.

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in systems administration or IT operations with a focus on patch management.
• MCSE or equivalent professional certification

• BS in Computer Science preferred
• A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Technician (MCDT) certificate desirable
• Current ITIL Foundations certificate

The wage range for this role takes into account a broad array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The range below applies as long as the work is performed in Connecticut; the Knights of Columbus reserves the right to adjust the wage range if the position is performed in another location.

At the Knights of Columbus, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $59,200 – $91,700.
