Overview
The central IT group is looking for a desktop support individual to serve as an information technology generalist responsible for providing broad range of user support services to a department, including network troubleshooting, training, and computer desktop support.
Position FocusThis role will provide technical user support for a moderately complex computing environment. Serves as generalist responsible for providing broad range of user support services, network, training, and computer desktop support and services to a department.
Principal Responsibilities- Advanced proficiency with Mac OS and Windows OS.
- Advanced proficiency and support of standard application packages:
Microsoft Office 365. - Advanced proficiency and support of Apple and PC hardware and iOS devices for troubleshooting and repairing miscellaneous hardware problems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team. Excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency with Mac OS and Windows OS. Demonstrated knowledge of at least one coding language.
- Eight years related experience, six in same job family at next lower level and high school, or six years related and associate, or two years related and bachelor, or equivalent.
- Preferred:
Demonstrated experience facilitating group training, both in person and online.
Intermediate Level
Job Type & LocationContract position based out of New Haven, CT. Fully onsite location.
CompensationPay range: $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
