The LYNC Transportation Case Aide
The LYNC Transportation Case Aide is responsible for transporting youth and their families to and from LYNC programming. The Bilingual Transportation Case Aide will conduct Transportation Case Aide duties in Spanish and/or English and assist clients with language barriers and translation in a non-clinical capacity to meet their needs. As with all LYNC team members the Transportation Case Aide will be informed on cultural, gender and trauma responsive approaches to youth and their families.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provide transportation to youth and their families to and from LYNC programming.
- Interface with clients and conduct Transportation Case Aide duties in Spanish and/or English and assist clients with language barriers and translation in a non-clinical capacity to meet their needs.
- Provides most of the transportation to and from services, primarily group travel based or picking up multiple youth within a common destination.
- Reinforces skills while transporting youth.
- Comply with all traffic laws and "How's My Driving" expectations.
- Complete vehicle safety checks and inspections as required.
- Maintain compliance in documentation with agency and program standards.
- Participates in staff meetings, supervision and other meetings assigned.
- Complete all trainings timely.
- Maintain mileage log and regular vehicle maintenance.
- Maintain gas cards usage and receipts.
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle.
- Participate in all required internal and external meetings and supervisions.
- Complete all required internal and external trainings within required time frames.
- Meet and contribute to agency outcomes and performance measures.
- Adhere to state and federal regulations, and standards of accreditation, facility licensure and funding sources.
- May perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
- Engagement/motivational skills.
- Vehicle safety checks and inspections.
- General office software, particularly Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Manage priorities effectively to meet deadlines and demonstrate multi-tasking skills.
- Assimilate new information and technology.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- One to two years' experience in transporting children or youth.
- Some knowledge of the juvenile justice system.
- Must have a valid driver's license and no traffic violations on record.
- Bilingual in Spanish or Creole a plus.
- Must be dependable and reliable; detailed oriented; and able to interface easily with clients, staff, and referral sources.
- Must be able to meet routine office physical demands including climbing stairs, carrying up to 20-pound objects and possess the dexterity and vision to operate office computers and equipment.
- Must successfully complete the introductory probationary employment period.
