Job Shift: Day Latino Behavioral Health Manager
POSITION SUMMARYThe Latino Behavioral Health Clinician will provide assessment and clinical support to monolingual Spanish-speaking clients at Communi Care partner organization sites. The Latino Behavioral Health Clinician will consult with site clinical coordinators to carry-out appropriate treatment recommendations. Will provide supervision to Bilingual Community Health Worker to promote behavioral health literacy in Latino communities.
Accountable and responsible for the following results:
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, and family psychotherapy, which is mobile, flexible, and responsive to consumers' needs.
- Participate in the development and ongoing process of an integrated service plan, helping consumers to respond constructively to treatment and assisting in adjustment leading to discharge.
- Serve as link between consumer, family, agency, and community services; sharing information with treatment team members; helping to reduce fear and other feelings obstructing acceptance of psychiatric care and continuation of treatment.
- Maintain clinical records in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Provide 60% direct service. Complete all requests for re-authorizations by deadline. Document intake assessments within three days of contact and treatment plans within 15 days of intake. Complete progress notes and treatment plan review in a timely manner.
- Provide supervision and guidance to Bilingual Community Health Worker on the delivery of services to promote behavioral health literacy in Latino communities.
- Sets and maintains schedule of Bilingual Community Health Worker.
- Consult with the Communi Care Director (and the QA team) to define workflow, program targets, performance measures and protocols for Latino clinical services.
- Attend training sessions, workshops, seminars as requested by supervisor, or as needed for professional development, or as required for accreditation or licensing.
- Perform other duties as required.
- May be required to use own vehicle on company business.
- Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.
- LCSW and minimum of two years related experience serving individuals with Prolonged Mental Illness.
- At least one year of experience working with culturally diverse populations.
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
