Travel RN - Telemetry - Pediatric Tele

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Telemetry position requiring a CT or compact RN license and recent trauma center experience.

Job Details

• Position is in a Pediatric Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care hospital,

• Level I Trauma Center with over 1000 beds,

• Patient ratio averages 1:4,

• Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00,

• Weekend work required every other weekend,

• Floating to other units required,

• Uses Epic for charting;
Epic experience preferred,

• Royal blue scrubs required,

Job Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license (may apply prior to consideration),

• At least 2 years of pediatric nursing experience in a large trauma center,

• Current BLS certification required,

• Previous trauma center experience in a large facility is required,

• First-time travelers accepted,

• Cannot have prior disciplinary action on nursing license,

• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted,

• COVID-19 vaccine and booster required unless approved for religious or medical exemption,

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced trauma center environment,

• Return permanent staff must have a 2-year separation before being considered as a traveler,

• Holiday coverage may be expected as part of the rotation,

• No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius,

• Facility automatically approves up to 7 days of requested time off (RTO); more than 7 days requires approval,

• Travelers may be required to participate in emergency response activities,
