Travel RN - Telemetry - Pediatric Stepdown

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Stepdown unit requiring a CT or compact RN license and a minimum of two years' trauma center experience.

Job Details

• Work in a Pediatric Stepdown unit within a short-term acute care Level I Trauma Center,

• Average patient ratio is 1:4,

• Night shifts, 3x12 hours per week from 19:00 to 07:00,

• Weekend shifts required every other weekend,

• Floating to other units is required,

• Epic EMR is used on the unit,

• Royal blue scrubs are required,

Job Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license, or eligibility to obtain prior to consideration,

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a trauma center at a large facility,

• Current BLS certification,

• Experience with Epic EMR preferred,

• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted,

• COVID-19 vaccine and booster required unless exempt for religious or medical reasons,

• Must not have prior disciplinary actions on nursing license,

• A reference is required for consideration,

• Applicants must live outside a 75-mile radius from the facility,

• Provides care to pediatric stepdown patients in a high-acuity academic medical center,

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,

• Return perm staff must be gone for at least 2 years for traveler eligibility,

• Up to 7 days of requested time off is auto-approved; longer requests require approval,

• Travelers may be required to participate in emergency and natural disaster response activities,
