Travel RN - Cardiovascular ICU

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position with Level I trauma experience and CT or compact license.

Job Details

• Work in a hybrid Cardiovascular ICU and Stepdown unit,

• Unit has 8 cardiac ICU beds and 6 cardiac stepdown beds,

• Patient assignment includes predominantly CT surgery pre- and post-op, advanced heart failure, and vascular patients,

• Average patient ratio is 1:3,

• Assignments rotate between ICU and stepdown as needed,

• Requires floating within scope, including to stepdown when needed,

• Setting is a Level I Trauma short-term acute care hospital,

• Uses Epic EMR,

• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00),

• Weekend shifts required every other weekend,

• No on-call required,

• Royal blue scrubs required,

Job Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required (pending license accepted if active before start),

• At least 2 years of recent RN experience,

• ACLS and BLS certifications required,

• Large facility Level I trauma center experience required,

• Must be comfortable with HVC (hybrid vascular/cardiac care),

• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted,

• COVID-19 vaccine and booster required unless religious or medical exemption is provided,

• One professional reference required,

• No prior disciplinary action on nursing license,

• No local candidates within 75 miles eligible unless given local rate,

• Returning employees must have two years since last employed with the facility,

• Daily assignments may vary between ICU and stepdown,

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,

• Up to 7 days of requested time off may be auto-approved; more than 7 days requires approval,

• Participation in emergency response and natural disaster events is required,
