We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Operations Team working on Data Center, Vehicle Manufacturing, or General Build Construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Project Execution: Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule. Provide technical support including participation in construction planning, design interpretation, application of construction methods, resolution of design conflicts, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing. Develop and implement project engineering procedures and control documents.
  • Budget Management: Assist with monitoring expenditure, track financial progress, and ensure costs remain within budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities and strategies to optimize financial performance.
  • Resource Management: Foster a collaborative environment, guide team members, and manage project engineering personnel functions. Interface with on-site departments to resolve problems and ensure quality.
  • Risk Management: Represent the company during meetings with A/E, clients, and project management.
  • Technical Support: Serve as a key technical person on projects, potentially managing small to medium-sized projects.
  • Qualifications

    • 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant construction engineering experience.
    • Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, and understanding of interdependent functional units.

    Preferred Skills

    • Excellent communication and organizational skills for coordination with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to implement management strategies to enhance project and employee performance.

    Skills and Attributes for Success

    • Technical knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, project controls, and contract management.
    • Proficiency in budget management, financial forecasting, and resource allocation.
    • Experience in risk assessment and mitigation.
    • Ability to adapt in fast-paced environments and handle changing requirements.

    Location:

    Remote within the US, with willingness to travel for long-term projects.
