Certified Teacher – Summer School K‑4 Position Overview
Join our dynamic Summer School Program as a Certified Teacher, where you'll inspire and nurture young minds in grades K-4. We are seeking passionate educators to create an engaging and enriching learning experience for our students.
Responsibilities- Teach reading, math & science classes for 19.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Develop and implement age‑appropriate lesson plans that foster lifelong learners.
- Encourage students to explore and build confidence in their abilities.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Assess and document student progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
- Connecticut State Teaching Certification in Elementary Education (K-6).
- Experience teaching young children, including the HMH, iReady, & Smithsonian curriculum, preferably in a K-4 setting.
- Strong communication and classroom‑management skills.
- Enthusiasm for working with children.
- Grades:
Kindergarten through 4th grade.

CompensationCompensation based on certification:
Certified teacher - $35.00, Non‑certified instructor - $17.50.
