STEM Teacher-Summer School K - 4
Position Overview:
The K - 4 STEM Teacher provides engaging, inquiry-based instruction in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics that fosters curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, and innovation. The ideal candidate will cultivate a classroom culture that encourages collaboration, perseverance, and critical thinking while preparing students to become confident and capable problem-solvers.
Essential Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging K - 4 STEM instruction aligned to state standards and NGSS.
* Experience with SAM Labs coding and robotics platforms preferred.
* Implement hands-on, project-based, and inquiry-driven learning experiences.
* Integrate coding, robotics, and engineering design challenges into instruction.
* Utilize technology tools to enhance student learning and engagement.
* Incorporate computational thinking and problem-solving skills across content areas.
* Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
* Create an inclusive, student-centered classroom environment.
* Assess student learning using formative and summative measures.
* Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
* Experience teaching STEM at the elementary or middle school level.
* Experience with coding instruction (block-based and/or text-based programming).
* Familiarity with robotics kits, makerspace tools, and engineering design projects.
* Knowledge of NGSS and inquiry-based science instruction.
* Experience implementing project-based learning (PBL).
* Ability to integrate math concepts into STEM problem-solving activities.
* Background in engineering, computer science, or technology integration preferred.

Compensation:
Certified Teachers $35.00/hour
Non-certified instructors $17.50/hour
