The Yale College Environmental Studies Program is looking to hire a full-time, non-tenure-track lecturer with an initial 3-year appointment in environmental policy, politics, and law beginning July 1, 2026.
The teaching expectation is normally 5 undergraduate course equivalents per academic year, including service to the undergraduate Environmental Studies program. The primary focus of instruction includes survey courses in the topical areas of United States and global environmental policy. Additional courses would address topics in the candidate’s areas of specialization, including possible first-year seminars, advanced undergraduate seminars, or the senior colloquium.
The candidate also would advise a limited number of undergraduate senior-essay and senior-thesis projects in the Environmental Studies Major, or in other departments in Yale College, depending on the candidate’s research background.
