Overview
Yale Medicine is seeking cardiologists to join General Consultative teams to provide high-quality cardiovascular care through ambulatory clinic and inpatient services at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a collegial and nationally recognized academic division within the Yale School of Medicine, with access to robust clinical programs and resources that support professional development and academic engagement.
Responsibilities- Provide Consultative Cardiology Services: diagnose, manage, and treat patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions in outpatient clinic settings and inpatient care at Yale New Haven Hospital and other Yale New Haven Health System facilities.
- Manage Diverse Patient Cases: handle a broad spectrum of cardiovascular issues, from common disorders to more complex or rare conditions.
- Collaborate in a Multidisciplinary Setting: work with other specialists to provide comprehensive and collaborative patient care.
- Teaching and Mentoring: educate the next generation of physicians, teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and cardiology fellows to develop clinical and professional skills.
- Curriculum and Program Development: participate in developing and leading educational initiatives, such as conferences and lectures.
- Academic Contribution: contribute to the academic mission of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine in various forms.
- Research Participation: engage in clinical or translational research, quality improvement projects, or other academic initiatives with emphasis on contributing to the Section's research programs.
- Scholarly Work: publish research findings, present at national meetings, and engage in other scholarly activities.
- Program Development: contribute to developing new clinical programs or services.
Applicants must hold an M.D. degree and be board certified/board eligible in Cardiovascular Diseases. Academic appointments will be commensurate with experience.
