Outpatient Psychiatrist - Hospital Employed

A board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist is sought to join an outpatient and intensive outpatient (IOP) behavioral health team. This full-time, onsite role offers a balanced mix of clinical care, supervision, and teaching, with flexibility to tailor IOP tracks based on clinical interests. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, organized, and patient-centered clinician with a passion for multidisciplinary teamwork and medical education.

Job Description:

Compensation : $250000 - $300000 Job  : 39951

Job Function:

  • Conduct initial 1-hour psychiatric evaluations and 30-minute follow-up visits.

  • Manage a caseload of 8-12 adult patients per day across outpatient and IOP settings.

  • Review LCSW intake assessments prior to evaluations and coordinate care with primary and specialty providers.

  • Respond to psychiatric emergencies and assess for Physician's Emergency Certificate (PEC) when needed.

  • Provide clinical supervision to APRNs, LCSWs, and medical students, including treatment plan review and Medicare certification support.

  • Participate in psychiatry clerkship rotations and mentor medical residents.

  • Maintain documentation, attend team meetings, and support administrative tasks.

  • Participate in call rotation for weeknights, weekends, and holidays, covering inpatient, crisis, and consults.

Job Requirements:

  • 0+ years of experience.

  • Connecticut state medical license, DEA registration, and board certification required.

  • Completion of a general psychiatry residency required.
