Part-Time Assistant Teacher

Overview

Summary: Creating Kids at the Connecticut Children's Museum is seeking a part-time ASSISTANT TEACHER to support our classrooms. If you love kids, books, bugs and hugs, come work part-time (up to 29 hours/week) with a team of amazing teachers in a small, innovative, inclusive, and arts-rich child care center connected to a children's museum.

• Support children, families, and colleagues in their development.
• Foster communication with parents and support their involvement in the Center.
• Help develop and implement a creative, inclusive, and cross-cultural curriculum based on the Theory of Multiple Intelligences and the CT Early Learning and Development Standards.
• Help create and maintain the physical environment.
• Complete any written documentation in a timely manner.
• Participate in center wide and staff-based activities.
• Honor the ideals and principles of the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct and Statement of Commitment.
• Participate in supervision activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues.
