Monitor/Aide – First Student

Total Compensation and Benefits:

• $18.50 per hour
• 2 hours guaranteed per shift
• Up to 4 hours per day

Responsibilities:

• Know the route and monitor passenger welfare while in transit.
• Communicate behavioral issues and stop conditions to the driver.
• Assist in pre‑trip and post‑trip bus inspections.
• Help students with loading and unloading.
• Cooperate with school staff, students, and parents.
• Attend safety and training meetings.
• Conduct emergency evacuations, including use of emergency doors.
• Open and close service doors, and move up and down steps as needed.
• Clean the interior of the bus.
• Assist the driver in safely reversing the vehicle when required.
