As a Material Handler A you will operate on‑site cranes and forklifts to lift, transport, and place materials throughout all NCM sites. You will help develop lift plans and offer suggestions for transporting materials and components around the NCM sites. The position is 100% onsite and requires support of the 2nd or 3rd shift after the initial training period.

• Safely rig and lift materials using overhead cranes, handling multiple sizes, shapes, and weights across all NCM sites.
• Operate forklifts to load and unload company and freight vehicles.
• Perform pre‑use inspections of forklifts, overhead cranes, man lifts, and rigging gear.
• Conduct annual inspections of rigging gear as per company procedures.
• Execute material transfers according to company procedures.
• Perform heavy lifting as required.
• Follow all NCM safety procedures and the WEC Lifting and Rigging Manual.
• Participate in team discussions to develop lift plans for complex high‑risk lifts.
• Manually lift and place rigging gear and hooks, ensuring safe posture for workers.
• Engage in company training to maintain forklift and rigging qualifications.
• Carry out general responsibilities assigned by management.

• High school graduate or recognized equivalent.
• 1+ year(s) of experience in a related role.
• Ability to work under proper management and guidance.
• Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Pass crane knowledge and practical classes.
• Pass forklift written and practical testing.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Familiarity with forklift and crane operation, rigging techniques, and equipment.
• Familiarity with product and component handling.

The hourly rate for this position, dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills, is estimated to be $33.58 to $38.52 per hour.
