Job OverviewGilford Well Company is seeking a dependable and skilled Water Well Pump Mechanic to join our Field Operations team. This position involves installing, servicing, and troubleshooting residential and light commercial well pump systems, including submersible, jet pumps and centrifugal pumps. Key Responsibilities- Install, service, and repair residential and light commercial water well systems, including submersible jet pumps, and centrifugal pumps.
- Diagnose and resolve water pressure and pump performance issues.
- Perform basic electrical and plumbing troubleshooting.
- Weld and fabricate parts or components as needed for field repairs.
- Assist in lifting, pulling, and setting well pump systems.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance on all job sites.
- Operate company vehicle and tools responsibly.
- Interact professionally with customers to explain issues and solutions.
- Follow safety protocols and complete work in compliance with regulations.
- At least 1 year of experience working with water well pump systems (submersible and jet pumps).
- Basic understanding of residential electrical and plumbing systems.
- Ability to weld or willingness to learn.
- Comfortable troubleshooting water pressure issues.
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Physically capable of handling demanding outdoor work and lifting heavy equipment (50+ lbs).
- Team player with strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
