Position Overview

Loss Prevention Officer at Omni Hotels and Resorts. Responsible for conducting loss prevention rounds throughout the resort, responding promptly to emergency incidents, enforcing hotel policies, and collaborating with the Loss Prevention team and Executive Committee to maintain safety protocols.

• Perform loss prevention rounds of the resort, covering all restaurants, lobby areas, associates entrance garage, convention & presidential wing, guest floors, executive offices, ski area, stables, outbuildings, townhomes, and any other areas as required.
• Respond immediately to emergency incidents and loss prevention requests assigned.
• Ensure maximum safety for guests, associates, and hotel property at all times.
• Provide courteous, tactful, and helpful service while enforcing hotel policies and procedures.
• Report in writing on all activities during each shift, deliver oral reports and emergency notifications as directed by established procedures.
• Perform duties assigned by the Director of Loss Prevention and respond to directions from any Executive Committee member.
• Maintain professional standards in attitude, appearance, and application.
• Inspect associates leaving/entering the hotel, collect package passes, and inspect parcels.
• Monitor the receiving dock, confiscate unauthorized parcels, and notify the Loss Prevention Manager and appropriate department head.
• Restrict access to the heart of the house/subway for non‑staff personnel; require departmental approval for salesmen, job applicants, and vendors.
• Perform clerical requirements of the Loss Prevention Department under supervision, including filing, processing work orders, ordering supplies, scheduling, and posting bulletin board information.
• Prevent unauthorized entries and protect the hotel from undesirables.
• Make rounds throughout the resort, including Bretton Arms Inn, The Lodge, Ski Mountain, townhomes, and other areas.
• Promote safety awareness with all associates.

• Must be able to work overnight hours between 4 PM and 6 AM.
• Previous security experience preferred.
• Red Cross and First Aid certification required.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
