The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) assists the General Manager in managing day‑to‑day operations of the store while adhering to Global Partners' policies and procedures. This role supports a high‑performance retail environment within the Global Partners network of energy and convenience stores.
Key Responsibilities- Complete daily accounting paperwork and submit by deadline.
- Supervise, train, and discipline non‑exempt (hourly) employees, holding them accountable for operational standards.
- Monitor shift cash handling and inventory; assist in investigations of shortages/overages and inventory variances.
- Maintain business records, review cashier accountability sheets, and manage records assigned by the General Manager and/or Territory Manager.
- Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative duties in alignment with Global Partners cash‑control policies.
- Manage cash‑management procedures, including bank deposits and change orders.
- Ensure store meets Grand Opening Ready Standards and overall store image standards.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Ensure store security and safety, complying with all safety and environmental guidelines.
- Coordinate gasoline deliveries and maintain adequate fuel levels.
- Engage in company promotional initiatives and maintain a high level of guest service.
- Perform duties as required by company policies, the Company Handbook, and any other assignments from leadership.
- Excellent verbal communication; clear and effective information conveyance.
- Initiative and quick decision‑making with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Guest‑first mentality with outstanding service skills.
- Lead‑by‑example attitude and stellar work ethic.
- Availability for flexible hours, including day, night, weekends, and holidays.
- 1‑2 years of supervisory experience.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Strong communication, numeric, reading, and writing skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Tolerance for intermittent temperatures and physical demands (reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and lift up to 25 lbs. during a shift).
- Access to all store areas including the selling floor, stock area, and register area.
- Legal working age of 18.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.

$18.65 - $21.65 per hour. The starting rate is determined by experience, skills, and geographic location; the company reserves the right to adjust base salary at any time.
