Job Description

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for slicing, cutting, and wrapping all deli products for consumption to promote optimal sales opportunities. Maintains a clean and sanitized work station in accordance with corporate and state sanitation regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service at all times.

Smile, make eye contact, and thank customers upon fulfilling their requests.

Conduct sampling and suggestive selling in a friendly manner. End each customer transaction with a “Thank You”.

Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.

Handle, merchandise, and cook all deli products according to company standards.

Prepare in-store made prepared food programs.

Prepare chickens and side orders for the Roaster Chicken program.

Perform sanitation duties within the department in accordance with regulations (e.g., mopping, sweeping, garbage disposal, cleaning equipment).

Control shrink through adherence to policies and procedures.

Maintain logs for cold cases, hot foods, and cooling processes as per store policy.

Perform other duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years old. Satisfactory performance reviews. Strong communication skills. Basic literacy and computer skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Exposure to cold environment: constant 5-8 hours
Exposure to hot environment: frequent 3-5 hours
Lifting: constant 5-8 hours up to 50 lbs
Occasional lifting: 1-3 hours up to 10 lbs
Pivoting: constant 5-8 hours
Pushing/Pulling: frequent 3-5 hours up to 25 lbs
Occasional pushing/pulling: 1-3 hours up to 25 lbs
Occasional squatting/kneeling: 1-3 hours
