Culinary Assistant

Location: Pike, NH

Pay: $18 - $22/hr

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Day Shift

Mount Prospect Academy is hiring a Culinary Support Para-Educator to help prepare meals and support daily food service operations for at-risk youth in a therapeutic residential school setting. • Prepare and serve meals for students and staff
• Follow menus that meet NH DOE & DHHS nutrition guidelines
• Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation
• Safely store kitchen equipment and hazardous items
• Monitor cooking times, food temperatures, and quality
• Assist with ordering, inventory, and stocking supplies
• Prepare advance meals for dinners and weekends
• Supervise students/helpers during kitchen tasks
• Support kitchen operations across nearby MPA campuses
• Perform cleaning, stocking, and general kitchen duties

• Must be 21 years or older
• Ability to travel between MPA kitchen locations as needed
• 1+ year experience preparing meals for large groups
• OR 2+ years commercial, industrial, or institutional cooking
• Relevant college credits in food service may substitute
• Ability to take direction, communicate clearly, and stand for long periods
