Job Description:
The Marketing Coordinator supports the Marketing Director by ensuring the smooth execution of both marketing initiatives and event planning. The associate will handle a diverse set of responsibilities across administrative, marketing, public relations and event management functions to promote Benson wood. You will be organized, communicative, and capable of juggling multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a focus on quality and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities- Administrative & Marketing Operations
- Manage organization of Teams folders and Boards/Tasks within the Project Management system (Asana).
- Prepare and maintain marketing-related meeting agendas.
- Take and distribute action item notes from departmental and cross-departmental marketing meetings.
- Track and respond to all incoming marketing requests, ensuring timely follow-up.
- Assess and coordinate digital marketing requests, determining if they pertain to graphics, video, client gifting, or public relations.
- Manage the company’s online store, including vendor communication, order tracking, and quarterly updates with new items.
- Oversee client gifting by collaborating with the Director and Admin to determine gifts, manage the process, track progress, order merchandise, and ensure fulfillment.
- Event Planning & Management
- Schedule and coordinate all aspects of home tours, including dates, times, cleaning services, donations, and marketing collateral ensuring a seamless experience for homeowners and attendees.
- Plan and execute marketing and sales tours by selecting dates, preparing marketing materials, and overseeing setup, check-in, and cleanup.
- Manage all aspects of conferences and trade shows, including developing strategic plans, scheduling meetings with attendees, preparing marketing materials, and staying up to date on event updates.
- Ordering and prepping all marketing and sales collateral needed for events.
- Public Relations & Advertising/Communications
- Coordinating and following up on editorial features, potential interviews and other PR opportunities.
- Coordination and following up on print and digital advertising campaigns by communicating with ad sources, ensuring timely ad submissions.
- Salesforce Management as needed
- Creating Campaigns for events and other marketing activities.
- Salesforce and Account Engagement Reporting.
- Segmentation lists, organization and updating of contacts and more.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or communication or the experiential equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in the marketing and communications field (preferably in the construction or manufacturing sector) preferred – but training is available for the right candidate
- The ideal candidate for this position is curious, self-motivated, and organized. As a small team, personality is important as well – we will train the right candidate!
- Positive, can-do team player with strong problem solving and project management skills, a systems philosophy, and ability to positively motivate team to accomplish goals
- High attention to detail with the ability to:
- Complete assignments accurately
- Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team setting
- Strong verbal and written skills with ability to read and communicate technical information and prepare contract documents
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite programs, web applications, social media sites, and Salesforce preferred
- Ability and flexibility to take on other responsibilities as assigned
- Compensation will be based on skill level and experience
