Egg Depot Associate

Position: Egg Depot Associate I
Location: Walpole

• Prepare depot for egg receipt in accordance with bio-security policies and SOP’s
• Receive eggs into the egg depot and verify invoice counts
• Sort eggs, perform a final egg grade and make invoice changes as necessary
• Manage paperwork associated with export orders, destroy eggs, flock eggs, etc.
• Transfer eggs from incoming trays to outgoing boxes according to POU documentation
• Seal/label boxes and palletize
• Prepare palletized boxes for shipment using shrink wrap machine and pallet jack
• Clean/sanitize egg trays and re-rack for return to farm
• Clean and sanitize all work areas
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
• Medical card required or willing to acquire medical card needed
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic math skills

Physical Requirements

• Work with chemicals, such as detergents and disinfectants
• Standing for extended periods of time (8 hours)
• Grip, grasp or twist using hands and wrists
• Lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50lbs
• Bend and stoop repetitively throughout out shift
• Prolonged exposure to a cool environment
• Routinely work up to 6 days a week, including weekends and holidays
• Routine handling of day old chicks
• Ongoing presence of hatchery related debris, smells and odors
• Climate exposure both hot and cold
• Working in damp and/or wet environment
• Working in a loud/noisy environment
