Salary Range: $78,800 - $118,200
Summary Responsible for evaluating existing manufacturing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, increase yield, and improve safety. Should utilize best practices and statistical methods to improve operational success in our Foundry.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Lead change management and kaizen initiatives in manufacturing.
- Develop innovative solutions.
- Coordinate engineering trials through production departments.
- Ensure that procedures are maintained and followed.
- Communicate project results to management.
- Assist in capital projects related to process area.
- Advise and implement corrective actions.
- Work with equipment designers and manufacturing officers to develop more cost-effective methods of manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot existing processes.
- Research and purchase of new manufacturing technology.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within financial budgets.
- Must comply with all applicable safety requirements, policies and procedures, while maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
- Must participate in required training, medical monitoring, safety, and health evaluations and programs.
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in all designated areas of facility.
- Perform all physical functions of position; standing, stooping, bending, sitting, walking, twisting, kneeling, turning and lifting of materials up to 35 lbs.
- Meet established attendance standards.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Must report any work-related injury or illness immediately to your direct supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Metallurgical, or Materials engineering or related discipline.
- 5 to 10 years manufacturing engineering experience.
- Knowledgeable in statistical analysis.
- Strong experience in lean.
- Investment casting experience preferred.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, twist, turn, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, kneel, stoop, bend, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
