The Rides Supervisor will assist in the supervision of the rides team members working throughout the amusement park. This position directly supports the Rides Manager with efficient operation of the department which provides a positive guest experience.
This position’s duties include -- but are not limited to -- assisting with the management of the department, supervising, monitoring, and attending to park rides, including boarding, securing passengers, operating rides, and ensuring passengers exit safely. This position will also conduct daily audits to ensure sure the park’s safety and operating policies are being properly followed.

**** Supervisory Duties:
*** Supervise the daily operations of the Rides team and any other assigned departments
* Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Story Land’s core values
* Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned hosts
* Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all rides positions and backfill these positions when needed
* Participate in all aspects of supervision of assigned hosts, including hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline.
* Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with New Hampshire law
* Assist with host scheduling and timekeeping activities
** Departmental Duties:
*** Maintains a vast knowledge of a group of rides in a designated zone of the park and be able to step in at an attraction when necessary
* Ensures that attractions open and close at the proper times established by the operational needs of the day
* Provides direct support to other rides hosts by making rounds throughout the park to check on their needs
* Manages guest feedback and escalates complaints or issues to the proper authorities, when appropriate
* Provides coverage so that hosts may take bathroom breaks
* Enforces Park policies, ride restrictions and ride recommendations
* Ensures safe operation of the ride by always adhering to standard operating procedures and established trainings
* Maintains a sense of calmness and professionalism during tense, escalated or emergency situations
* Reports ride related issues and failures to management promptly
* Maintains constant vigilance to proactively identify potential hazards and informs park leadership of any concerns
* Promptly notifies the security team or the park operator of host and guest injuries or emergencies
* All other duties assigned by leadership

* Education & Experience:

*** There is no minimum education requirement.
* 1+ years of previous supervisory experience desired
* 1+ season of work experience in the Rides Department is required. Previous ride operation experience from other Amusement/Theme Park employers will also be considered.
* All Rides Hosts must go through the International Ride Operator Certification (iROC) course as a part of the training. Successful course completion is required for this position. There is no cost to the team member for the course.
