Duties/ResponsibilitiesAs a member of the ET&S Business Applications & Integrations team, the primary duties for this role are to optimize and improve the usability of our business applications and to architect the most scalable and extensible solutions in favor of more efficient business processes.
- Design, build, and maintain advanced enterprise application solutions that address strategic business and technology needs.
- Apply an advanced application development and integration skill set; acquire new technical skills quickly.
- Participate in peer review for solutions designed or developed by other team members.
- Stay abreast of emerging and evolving technologies, languages, standards and practices.
- Make recommendations to respond efficiently and securely to evolving strategic business needs and technical challenges.
- Perform testing to maintain quality assurance.
- Maintain high availability of enterprise applications and services by facilitating analysis, diagnosis, and issue resolution.
- Provide technical support to functional IT leaders, technical and business partners, and end users.
- Engage vendors as required and communicate appropriately for the target audience.
- Collaborate with business and technical partners to lead the analysis of complex business, functional, and technical needs and challenges.
- Provide time and resource estimates and cost/benefit analyses for decision‑making.
- Manage small IT projects of high technical and/or organizational complexity.
- Lead project teams in initiation, planning, and execution, creating project estimates, technical inputs, and timeline evaluations.
- Maintain project management systems of record, tracking project status, milestones, and time tracking for overall project performance.
- Analyze new releases and patches of vendor software, technologies, and other proposed changes; determine impact on business applications and services.
- Serve in an advisory or consulting capacity during the release analysis process.

Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience- Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience in the information technology field, or Associate’s degree and six years, or a combination equal to eight years.
- Strong customer service and support skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills for a highly collaborative environment.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
- Experience with large‑scale enterprise application implementation, integration, maintenance, and support.
- Experience with GIT, JavaScript, CSS, Java, SQL, SOAP, and REST‑based APIs.
- Knowledge of information security best practices.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following Workday tools (Workday Studio, Extend, Workday Report Writer, EIB).
- Basic understanding of XML and XSLT.
- Experience with BIRT Reporting.
- Experience with Eclipse.
- Experience working within a higher education IT environment.
- Experience with automated testing practices.
