The Wentworth by the Sea Resort and Spa is seeking a Front Desk Manager to join our team!

This role is the leader for our front desk team (the main point of contact for our guests) and will foster a culture of collaboration, guest priority, and professionalism. A successful candidate will be highly motivated, energetic, positive, and team-oriented.

Our Front Desk Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Front Office team and will demonstrate the leadership needed to ensure the team adheres to hotel standards to deliver the best guest experience possible.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee and lead the team:
    Front Desk, Concierge, Hotel Operator, Valet/Bell Staff/Door Staff and Night Audit
  • Hire/train/coach/support team in order to provide the highest quality of service to the guests
  • Handle guest requests and concerns while on the property to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Maintain and improve guest services by working with the General Manager to develop and implement updated policies and procedures
  • Keep the Front Office team in the loop of all operating changes coming from Food and Beverage, Sales, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Spa
  • Issue appropriate correspondence to dissatisfied guests on behalf of the hotel to achieve satisfaction and guest loyalty
  • Perform duties of all positions as needed
  • Keep the Lobby, Front Desk, Bell stand, and Concierge desk clean and organized
  • Act as Manager on Duty as scheduled
  • Assign rooms for upcoming reservations using requests and availability. Make sure reservations are properly alerted/noted for celebrations, upgrades, and any information FD Agents will need.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of hotel / resort Front Desk supervisory experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Conflict-resolution skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Focus on details and follow-through
  • Ability to work within and lead a team
  • Flexibility to work with varying schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
