King Pine - Rental Shop Attendant

Full-Time, Seasonal, Non-Exempt

The Rental Shop Attendant at King Pine Ski Area will work as part of the rental shop team to assist guests with all aspects of equipment rentals. There are varied types of positions within the rental shop, and specific duties will be dependent upon the position held by the employee.

• Ensure the guests feel safe, welcome, and maintain a positive attitude throughout the shift
• Follow through with a customer until they are satisfied
• Promote excellent customer service
• Follow daily and weekly goals set forth by the management team
• Listen and complete all requests by management in a timely manner
• Follow proper procedure
• Understand and work with all equipment for tuning services
• Complete all work order forms in a timely manner
• Ensure that work is done correctly, neatly, efficiently, and with care
• Ask management for assistance when unsure or when there is a guest complaint
• Follow opening and closing procedures to maintain cleanliness and organization
• Work with Ski Techs and Window staff to ensure smooth transition from input to pickup
• Examine returned items periodically to ensure they are within spec
• Teach/safely perform ski tuning as needed to ensure guest safety
• Clean and put back all equipment after return
• Know and understand equipment related to XC skis, snowboards, snowshoes, and ice skates
• Assist guests with guidance, directions, and finding the right person to answer questions
• Adhere to the guidelines set forth in the Rental Shop Guidelines form

• Strong customer service skills
• Organized and able to follow through with tasks
• Ability to be aware of and focused on safety
• Certified in all bindings relative to the rental shop (training provided)
• Trained and efficient in ski and board tuning services (training provided)
• Proficient in Rezo and Square to complete sales (training provided)
• Ability to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
