Area Therapy Manager; Northeast Johnson and Johnson, MedTech Electrophysiology

Role Summary

Area Therapy Advancement Manager (Northeast) leads the area Therapy Advancement field team across Northern New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont. Reports to the National Therapy Advancement Director and oversees area Regional Therapy Advancement Managers. Responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for Johnson & Johnson Med Tech Electrophysiology, aligning with U.S. Commercial Marketing and Field Sales to expand patient access to therapies including cardiac catheter ablation.

• Lead and Develop Regional Therapy Advancement Team:
  Recruit, develop, and retain top talent; manage performance, succession planning, development planning; coach RTAMs to ensure consistent execution and growth.
• Drive Strategic Alignment and Business Planning:
  Identify priority accounts; align objectives with leadership to execute plans enabling patient treatment; set and monitor commercial goals; contribute to strategy as part of the sales area leadership team.
• Advocate for Electrophysiology Programs:
  Engage health system administration and hospital leadership to accelerate access to care and improve outcomes; promote resources from Marketing, Professional Education, HEMA, and SCG.
• Advance Awareness and Market Presence:
  Increase AFib awareness among stakeholders; connect physicians with marketing initiatives; plan national-level marketing projects and campaigns to grow market presence.
• Collaborate Across Teams:
  Work with field sales to meet objectives; maintain communication with RTAMs, sales leadership, and EP leadership to drive execution.
• Ensure Compliance and Operational Excellence:
  Uphold Health Care Compliance rules; complete required training, expense reporting, and administrative tasks on time.

• Bachelor’s degree required

• Required:
  • Minimum of 8 years professional work experience and 4+ years of sales and marketing experience
  • Previous experience in the medical device industry
  • People leadership experience
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships with a consultative approach
  • Expertise in establishing and maintaining strategic relationships across an organization

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook skills
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to travel up to 60% (including overnight/weekends)
  • Residence within, or willingness to relocate to the geography
• Preferred:
  • Prior sales and/or clinical experience in electrophysiology
  • Prior sales and/or clinical experience in cardiovascular therapeutic areas
  • Master’s degree or equivalent
