Job Overview

Achieving Stars Therapy is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism, by delivering in-home and community-based ABA services. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those you work with.

Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Collect data on client behavior during sessions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of care plans.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to teach new skills and manage challenging behaviors.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure effective care coordination.
Skills / Qualifications
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism.
  • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of medical records.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
