Rapidly growing, high-tech manufacturer near Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis across the organization. The role partners closely with senior executives within FP&A and finance senior leadership to drive insight into expenses, risks, and operational performance. It is well suited for candidates with strong FP&A experience in financial modeling, variance analysis, expense forecasting, and exposure to complex cost structures such as insurance, risk, or regulated expense environments.

Responsibilities- Lead annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes for assigned expense areas, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, and long‑range expense planning.
- Perform detailed variance analysis, including actuals vs. forecast, forecast vs. forecast, and budget vs. actuals, and clearly communicate drivers to stakeholders.
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Partner with business and operational leaders to understand cost drivers, identify savings opportunities, and support informed decision‑making.
- Analyze expense performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve financial outcomes.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs), including both financial and operational metrics, to support performance management.
- Support management of recurring expense programs, including forecasting, payment tracking, and process improvements.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with finance, operations, legal, and other internal teams on expense‑ and risk‑related initiatives.
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, business cases, and strategic projects as needed.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or corporate finance, preferably within a large or complex organization.
- Strong experience with financial modeling and forecasting, expense management, and cost analysis.
- Variance reporting and performance analysis.
- Exposure to insurance, risk management, or other regulated or enterprise‑level expense categories is a plus, but not required.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong PowerPoint presentation capabilities.
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle or similar), BI tools, and large datasets.
- Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and translate financial data into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in a cross‑functional, fast‑paced environment.
Salary: $90,000‑$130,000 based on experience + competitive benefits
