Assistant Controller

Location: Newmarket

Description We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our dynamic team in Newmarket, New Hampshire. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to the financial operations of a growing company. You will collaborate closely with the Controller to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes while supporting the development of best practices.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee accounts payable entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

- Prepare and analyze financial statements to support informed decision-making.

- Supervise inventory accounting processes, including bill of materials (BOM) management.

- Assist with month-end close procedures and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts.

- Collaborate with the Controller to establish and implement financial best practices.

- Monitor and maintain general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency.

- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.

- Provide oversight to one staff member, offering guidance and support as needed.

- Utilize Net Suite to streamline and enhance financial operations. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management.

- Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management.

- Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and bill of materials (BOM).

- Experience in preparing financial statements and reports.

- Familiarity with Net Suite or similar ERP systems.

- Ability to perform bank reconciliations and resolve variances.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
