Integer Technologies is forming a specialized team to conduct advanced science and technology research focused on the operationalization of passive acoustic soundscape data for Undersea Warfare (USW) and Seabed and Subsea Warfare (SSW). The Engineering Manager will serve as Principal Investigator (PI) on large, multiyear research programs aimed at developing an integrated framework that incorporates physics-based models, artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML), and novel acoustic soundscape modeling.

This framework will enable deployment on both manned and unmanned platforms to provide warfighters with uptodate, actionable understanding of the undersea acoustic environment to directly enhance the effectiveness and adaptability of USW and SSW missions.

This role requires both technical excellence and leadership capability. The Engineering Manager will lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams, collaborate closely with Integer’s academic research partners, and interface with government customers. The position requires a strong understanding of Navy missions, operational challenges, and capability gaps, as well as the ability to identify, pursue, and shape new research opportunities.

Integer’s operating model is built on transforming science and technology research into deployable capabilities for the Department of War. Much of our work involves developing solutions for complex problems that currently have no known answers. As a result, candidates must be able to conduct original research, rapidly learn new concepts from a range of engineering disciplines, and document findings in a clear, accessible manner for both technical and nontechnical audiences.

Given the early stage and exploratory nature of Integer’s program portfolio, the Engineering Manager must be capable of functioning as both a Principal Investigator and a hands‑on technical leader. This includes contributing directly to the design, development, and prototyping of new technologies, systems, and analytical tools.
