Our products include DC/DC converters, DC/AC inverters, solid state power distribution devices, generator controllers, VPX form factor solutions, battery and shipboard battery backup solutions (UPS).
Our networking solutions include rugged ethernet switches (1G,10G,100G), routers, media converters, terminal servers, and USB hubs.
We are currently looking for an Electrical Technician to join our team! The Electrical Technician I conducts, tests and completes data collection activities of power supplies, related equipment and component systems.
Responsibilities- Conducts tests of new components, assemblies and systems based on test criteria as established by policies and procedures or written test plans; maintains accurate records of test results and reports results to appropriate development and testing group.
- Conducts various performance tests, environmental stress screening of product in accordance with test criteria established by policies and procedures or written test plans and maintains accurate records of test results and reports results to production manager.
- Ensures that the product meets the established specifications.
- Operates equipment in a safe manner following established safety rules, maintains a neat and clean work area, follows established tool and instrument control procedures, and reports any unsafe acts or conditions to his or her immediate supervisor.
- Reports to the product managers about all ongoing projects regarding project status, completion time projections and any problems that may have arisen during the project.
- Experience in testing processes; experience using equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscope and fatigue analysis equipment; experience with test techniques related to electrical systems.
- Experience with electronic test equipment.
- Self-starter with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Required to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, vision screen and background check.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Two-year technical degree in electrical engineering technology or 5 years of relevant experience in related technical field.
- Must be able to work independently and function effectively as part of a team.
- Occasional overtime may be required to include elongated shifts.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
