Henniker Community School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Extended School Year (ESY) Teacher to support students during our summer program. The ESY Teacher will provide targeted instruction and maintain continuity of learning for students who require educational services beyond the traditional school year. This role focuses on reinforcing academic, social, and functional skills in a supportive, structured environment.

Program Dates

July 6–23, 2026, Monday–Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Hourly Rate: $40/Hr.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students' IEP goals and learning needs.
  • Implement lesson plans that reinforce key academic and life skills.
  • Collaborate with special education staff, paraprofessionals, and related service providers.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or Special Education
  • Valid state teaching certification.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience implementing IEP goals and accommodations.
  • Familiarity with differentiated instruction strategies.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting student growth.
