Job DescriptionPosition Overview
Windham Academy is seeking a reliable, attentive, and student-centered School Lunch Monitor to help maintain a safe, orderly, and positive environment during student lunch periods and recess transitions. The Lunch Monitor plays an important role in supporting student supervision, reinforcing school expectations, and ensuring the well-being of all students during non-instructional time.
Primary Responsibilities- Supervise students in the cafeteria and/or designated lunch areas during assigned lunch periods.
- Promote and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
- Monitor student behavior and ensure adherence to school rules and expectations.
- Assist students with minor needs (opening containers, spills, seating guidance, etc.).
- Support smooth transitions to and from lunch and recess.
- Address minor behavioral concerns and refer ongoing or significant issues to administration.
- Ensure cleanliness of tables and surrounding areas, encouraging students to clean up after themselves.
- Positive and supportive approach to student interactions.
- Awareness of student safety and supervision best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team.
- Strong observational skills and attentiveness.
Position Type: Part-Time
Salary: $15 to $20 Per Hour
