The DBA Program Director is an on-campus leadership position responsible for the program’s growth and management. This 12-month hybrid role combines academic and operational duties for the Executive DBA program, with an emphasis on curriculum development, accreditation, and student achievement. The role includes promoting faculty development, mentoring students, and forming industry partnerships. The position reports directly to the Dean of the Management Division.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Dean of Management on strategic initiatives, resource allocation, and the development and growth of the Executive DBA program.
- Supervise program activities, promote communication among leadership, faculty, and students, and resolve operational issues.
- Manage operations of the Executive DBA program, including scheduling, faculty administration, and student experience across various delivery formats.
- Mentor and support Executive DBA faculty, ensuring academic quality, innovation, and consistency across program courses.
- Develop and update courses, including targeted delivery of executive doctoral residency content and experiences.
- Guide students on academics, practical training, and career growth.
- Oversee consulting and research projects as part of practical training.
- Support accreditation and program assessment efforts by utilizing data to promote ongoing improvement.
- Encourage student-centered initiatives to enhance advising, recruitment, retention, and success.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with industry and alumni to improve career and educational opportunities.
Education:
- Terminal degree in a management field along with a related master’s degree.
- Demonstrated higher education leadership in roles such as Department Chair or Program Director.
- Proven experience supporting doctoral program operations, especially in DBA course development, research committee service, and advising doctoral research projects.
- At least 5 years of successful experience teaching graduate and doctoral-level courses across hybrid, online, and in-person modalities.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines with faculty, staff, and students.
- Ability to solve problems and execute plans quickly.
- Ongoing research and professional development interests.
- Established industry and employer networks.
- Grant writing skills and administration.
- Relevant industry experience and certifications.
