We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our team. About the Role
The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide behavioral and instructional support, incorporating evidence-based strategies and ABA principles where appropriate
- Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other multidisciplinary team members to address each student’s unique needs
- Design and adapt curriculum and instructional materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Conduct assessments and progress monitoring to inform instruction and report on student growth
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that fosters engagement, confidence, and independence
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field
- State certification in Special Education required
- Experience working with students with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Proficiency in differentiated instruction and behavioral management techniques
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with staff, students, and families
- Prior experience in school or educational settings preferred

Pay range and compensation package - Starting at $48/hour
