Associate Teacher - Child Care Center, Part Time

• Provide quality custodial care for attending children, ensuring emotional, physical, intellectual, and social needs are met and compliance with state regulations and department policies.
• Supervise group and individual activities, encouraging child involvement and interacting with each child in a caring, supportive manner.
• Maintain daily routines for each child, attending to individual physical and nurturing needs, and ensuring smooth transition for child and parent at arrival and departure times.
• Follow established department procedures to maintain consistent positive child discipline.
• Complete daily/weekly notes for parents and serve as a responsive resource for parental concerns.
• Assist the Lead Teacher with preparation and implementation of monthly/weekly lesson plans.
• Contribute to the Center’s monthly newsletter as requested.
• Communicate regularly with the Lead Teacher regarding child participation, progress, development, and any problems or concerns.
• Assist in creating a safe, orderly, clean, and appealing environment that enables child growth and exploration.
• Maintain a healthy environment by teaching and practicing good hygiene, cleaning and disinfecting toys, furniture, and equipment routinely.
• Follow state regulations and accepted practices, check children for illness, and report necessary repairs.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in an early childhood education setting preferred.
• Minimum of 6 college credits in early childhood education, including 3 credits in human growth and development, or other acceptable levels of education under NH regulatory requirements.
