North Country Healthcare (NCH) is seeking an experienced Director of Accounting to play an integral part in leading our health-system managerial accounting team. We’re looking for an energetic, process-improvement-oriented individual with enthusiasm for developing people and expertise in overseeing critical managerial accounting. This position reports to the System Vice President of Financial Services. It regularly interacts with the CFO, as well as other leaders across the system to advance the strategic mission, vision, and values of the organization.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONSEducation:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
- Must posses a valid driver’s license.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Association
* accredited course in Basic Life Support (BLS) (for clinical staff), or Heartsaver CPR AED (for nonclinical staff), and renewal on a regular basis, with up to a three-month grace period after the expiration date.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Healthcare experience is strongly preferred.
