We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Contoocook, New Hampshire. This role involves overseeing the financial operations of a growing business, ensuring accurate bookkeeping and timely reporting. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing accounting processes and a strong ability to handle financial analysis and reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

- Manage daily accounting activities and oversee the month-end close process to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

- Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

- Reconcile accounts, including inventory and bank accounts, to maintain accurate financial records.

- Generate financial statements to provide insights into the company's performance.

- Handle pricing and inventory reconciliation to support business operations.

- Supervise accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes for efficient cash flow management.

- Oversee automated payroll processing and ensure timely disbursement.

- Collaborate with external accounting firms for annual audits and reviews.

- Provide recommendations for improving financial systems and processes.

- Support the business owner by taking over bookkeeping responsibilities previously managed within the family.

Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.

- Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management.

- Strong skills in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.

- Experience with bank reconciliations and financial statement preparation.

- Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) operations.

- Knowledge of inventory reconciliation and pricing strategies.

- Competence in handling automated payroll systems.

- Excellent organizational and analytical skills to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial tasks.
