This role is ideal for an accountant who enjoys cleaning up books, solving problems, and seeing work through from accounting to tax. You’ll work directly with small business clients, gain exposure across industries, and build strong technical and client-facing skills in a collaborative, growing CPA firm.
What You’ll Do Accounting & Bookkeeping- Clean up and maintain small business books in Quick Books Online (Desktop a plus)
- Identify and correct posting errors and misclassifications
- Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, payroll, and balance sheet accounts
- Prepare adjusting journal entries and supporting work papers
- Prepare individual and small business tax returns (S‑Corps, Partnerships, Schedule
C) - Assist with tax planning and year‑end close packages
- Prepare tax‑ready financial statements
- Support responses to basic tax notices (with guidance)
- Communicate with clients to gather information and clarify transactions
- Provide basic accounting guidance to small business owners
- Partner with senior accountants and leadership to meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 1–3+ years of public or small business accounting experience
- Strong Quick Books Online experience
- Working knowledge of individual and small business tax
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and deadline‑driven
- Experience with tax software (Ultra Tax, Pro System fx, Lacerte, or similar)
- Prior cleanup or catch‑up accounting experience
- CPA candidate or interest in licensure

The expected salary range for this position is $70,000–$100,000, which represents a good faith estimate based on current market data and the firm’s budgeted range for the role. Actual compensation will be determined by factors such as experience, education, and qualifications.
