Staff Accountant

Location: Lincoln

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Lincoln, New Hampshire. In this role, you will manage bookkeeping tasks, assist with financial reporting, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an opportunity to work collaboratively with a dedicated team while maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

- Manage bookkeeping tasks for multiple entities, including data entry, account reconciliations, and payroll liability calculations.

- Prepare payroll returns and 1099 forms in compliance with accounting regulations.

- Balance account work papers with the general ledger and working trial balance to ensure accuracy.

- Utilize accounting software such as Quick Books to organize and maintain financial data.

- Assist in the preparation of financial reports that adhere to organizational standards.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate tax reporting and regulatory compliance.

- Conduct financial data entry and verify the accuracy of transactions.

- Analyze financial data to identify trends, inconsistencies, or areas requiring attention.

- Provide administrative support by organizing documents and maintaining efficient filing systems. Requirements - Proven experience with corporate tax return preparation and compliance.

- Proficiency in managing journal entries and maintaining an accurate general ledger.

- Familiarity with payroll processes, including calculations and reporting.

- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) functions.

- Skilled in bookkeeping tasks, including reconciliations and financial data organization.

- Experience using accounting software, particularly Quick Books.

- Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.

- Excellent organizational and communication skills to support collaborative work environments.
